The Day My World Ended (28.13)

9.14.2020, Monday
Dear fellow bloggers,
I was unclear on what you wanted for the hard bonus. When I googled "Massive Attack Lyrics", I got a Nicki Minaj song. When I typed in "Massive Attack Band Lyrics", I got a list of songs from the band. I'm hoping you meant the band and not the song. If it is the song, the only lyrics I could pick out was: bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla, bla. I mean, sure! I can continue my story either way. But if you meant the band, well then I pick the line "gentle impulsion" from the song "Teardrop".

Now, the easy bonus was...well...easy! I pick the title Split Second by David Baldacci

Right, then. Off I go, continuing my story.

Chapter 5
The Day My World Ended
Serena

Numb, that's an emotion, right? It's what I feel at the moment anyway.
For a split second, I try to think about what Stone might want from me. There's a gentle impulsion there deep inside me to ask.
But it's just a gentle impulse. I can't get my brain to make words.
I barely noticed Stone walking me up the stairs to a different room. I barely made out his words of food, or a gym that's downstairs. I stared blankly out the window, not noticing the curtains surrounding them. I barely noticed Stone as he left me to my thoughts.
To me, this was the day my world ended. Though, truth be told, I've been in denial for a very long time now. It would have only been a matter of time before I had to leave Colby anyway.
I mostly stayed because of his addiction, but he had this addiction long before I came into the picture. I truly have a knack for helping those that can't be helped. Maybe I can learn to help myself.
Eventually, I will have to talk to Stone. I will have to find out what happens now that I've turned. Maybe I could suppress the wolf for the moment. I know I can't hold her back much longer as my body temperature has started to change.
