Day 320 of the 365 Day Gratitude Challenge.
Friday, May 19th, 2017.
I am grateful for protection. In light of everything that has happened within since last August with my childhood friend ending her life, and learning about one of my idols ending theirs, I realize how grateful I am to have someone or something protecting me from going over that edge.
I guess that's why I'm so interested in psychology and social work. I'm interested in the psyche. And yet, I'm spiritual.
That is all for tonight! Night! :)

Day 319

Day 319 of the 365 Day Gratitude Challenge.
Thursday, May 18th, 2017
I'm grateful this challenge is almost over. I have 46 days left. It's been quite a struggle. It seems the more I try to be grateful, the more bad things seem to happen, just testing me endlessly.
People die. And people think I'm stupid and naive.
If I'm like oh really, it's because either I think you're lying, I am not really listening, or I really don't know how to respond. If I laugh when someone is serious about a situation, it's because I don't know another way to react either.
I know old friends stalk me on here. I say nothing. I know people will do whatever it takes to steal my job. I still say nothing. I say nothing because others know the truth. They can tell what's real and what isn't.
So today, I'm grateful for an awakening day. That's all I really got. I'm grateful for my pups, and I'm grateful for my husband, who sticks by me and all my craziness.
I'm sad though because of the events that happened today. I've never met him, but his poetry in his music gave me purpose, and made me sing.

I'm grateful. Mostly because I know things can be a lot worse in life. I'm just feeling a little philosophical today!

Post It Forward 3

Three! Weeks! In!
Welcome to the third week of our Mental Health Month prompts. We just finished up a week of posting it for each other. This week? We’re posting it for reflection. We want to give you the opportunity to look back on your personal experiences with mental health: the struggles you have overcome, or something you’re dealing with right now. We’re all a work in progress, and that’s okay. You can follow through however you please, including using some of our prompts below. Just don’t forget to tag it with #postitforward so other people can easily find it:
- Make a post sharing your personal experiences with mental health. It can be a GIF, a text post, a video—whatever feels right to you.
- Share a list of things you know now that you wish you knew then.
- Here’s a thank you card. Reblog to thank yourself for being so strong, or reblog and tag someone who might have helped you through something.
- Post a quote that helps you get through tough times.
- Create a chat post conversation between you and your younger self.
- Make a video talking about something you overcame.
- Share a song that’s important to you, and tell your followers why.
We can’t wait to see these posts start rolling through our dashboards.
A small text addendum: We have some special Answer Times coming up that are centered around Mental Health Month. On the docket this week:
- 5/15—Cynthia Germanotta, Lady Gaga’s mother and co-founder of Born This Way Foundation.
- 5/16—Shannon Beveridge (@now-this-is-living), 25-year-old YouTube star. She’ll be partnering with It Gets Better (@itgetsbetterproject).

Post It Forward 2
Week 2 of Mental Health awareness month!

This week is about focusing on each other. Focus on being an encouraging and understanding friend, or part of a supportive community. Even just being there to listen or get leaned on can make a huge difference in someone’s life. There’s no wrong way to show kindness. Here are some other suggestions to bring this kind of supportive kindness to your Tumblr:
- Create a post with positive message for someone going through a tough time. Make a text post, a video post, use stickers, make a GIF—whatever feels right to you.
Just remember this: When someone says something mean to you, it's how they reflect upon themselves. It's funny how it takes so many positive sayings to make you happy, and only one negative comment to make you sad. It's not fair; it really isn't fair at all.
The only thing I can really tell you is to find a song...or a television show/movie (Like a comedy), something that is light, to help you through those rough patches. If something is funny, laugh, and remember what makes you laugh. Remember what makes you smile.
If you need to talk to someone, feel free to. There are people out there that will listen to you without judgment. Keep a journal if you have to! I know writing is a dying art, but it can be useful! If you draw, then draw!

- Message someone a compliment. Maybe send them a sticker.
This is for everyone!!! You are all wonderful!
- This is the positivity cat. Message it to 17 of your friends to give them positive vibes all month long. 🌞
I had sent this pic out to at least 5 friends. That's all I really know, friend wise!
- Leave a nice reply on someone’s post.
When I'm reading blogs, I usually leave a nice post. When I see someone having a tough time, I leave them a nice comment.
- If you’re up for it, make a post that your ask box is open to anyone who needs to chat.
Isn't it open already? I'll have to check. I'm ignored mostly in cyber world. No matter where I go. I am just not popular enough. I just went on there. I think I've done this right...I'm not so sure anymore!!!!
- You’re never alone on Tumblr. Turn your dashboard into a mental health community and follow these search tags: #postitforward, #self-care, and #positivity.
I just naturally go down the line on this.
- Reblog and tag your friends on this post or mention them in the replies to remind them to drink water.
I have one friend on Tumblr I can tag! :)
If you follow through, and we hope you do, make sure to tag your posts with #postitforward so other people can find your stuff.
