Ecrits Blogophilia Week 49.9 Topic: Lost in Space
BONUSES:

Hard (2 pts): Use the Title of a Song that was a #1 Hit
“Stressed Out” by Twenty-One Pilots

Easy (1 pt): Include a Box of Wine

Picture:

Since I found the song by Googling, I’ll chalk up to the picture topic being “stressed out” as well!

I also have no guesses as to who gave out the topics or pic! :)

Hey All!

I wasn’t going to participate in Blogophilia anymore. I think my problem is I’m already a harsh critic on myself and the things I post, why do I need someone (who might be having a bad day) to critique me over something I post?

It’s a good thing I don’t write for a living! I don’t think I could handle the nasty things some people post. If it is jealousy, they sure do make you feel like total crap for something you put all your effort into it.

What drew me in today, was Marvin’s (or Martien’s) cover photo for the note. A TARDIS!!! I am a sucker for Doctor Who, and I really wish the Doctor was actually real and not fictional. Oh, the places we can go…the times we can erase!!!

“Oh, yeah! Sure, Doctor! I’d love to get lost in space! Wow! What a TARDIS! It really is bigger on the inside!!!”

TARDIS

I guess what I’m saying is I’m stressed out! So when I put every careful thought into a writing, only to get insulted—or my favorite, unfriended—I just shut down. It is the introvert way.

I don’t have friends or family to hang out with. I’ve tried countless times to make an effort for them that would not have even given me a second look. I’m a nerd, pretty much. All I have is the internet. I can chat with my dogs and my bird, but they can’t talk back.

I live a very lonely life. Not by purpose. I have been literally thrown into the nation of the introverts because I had nowhere else to turn to. I turn to my writing. I turn to my Photoshop painting. I turn to my drawings and my jewelry crafts. I even stick my nose in a book, because that’s just who I am.

I don’t even look for comfort in a box of wine—or wine at all! I bought a bottle a few weeks back. I’ve yet to open it!

I’ll see how this week’s post goes. If all goes well, I may start writing stories again for the group!
