It's not nice to fool mother nature.
Quote Shirley Temple-Black
"When I was 14, I was the oldest I ever was. I've been getting younger ever since."
Include a peace pipe.
The picture:
There's an elephant in the room. I hope it isn't me, but it probably is. I try to offer peace pipes, but it's true what they say. You can do what ever you can to please others, and it will never be good. So the only person I can make happy is myself.
I have to start living my life like Shirley Temple did. She said, "When I was fourteen, I was the oldest I ever was. I've been getting younger ever since." I know it's not nice to fool mother nature, but I surprise everyone every day with my looks.
No one seems to believe me when I tell them I'm nearly sixty years old. They all think I'm lying in some way. They will tell me that I look no older than eighteen. The truth is, there is a story behind why I look eighteen.
Forty-two years ago, there was a life-altering change. I was involved in an accident to where I died, and when I awoke, I was suddenly ageless. That is all I really know. So when people ask me how old I am, I tell them I'm sixty, and then I give them a wink, indicating I'm just joking around.
Of course, you know, this means every twenty years or so I have to relocate. That means changing my name, as well as my I.D.
It's not so bad, living this life. It does have its benefits.
Will you join me on my journey, or will you be afraid of the unknown?

There was a time I'd have joined you. I fear most days that time has past

That's alright. I think I'm done with this story anyway.

I get told I look 20 years younger than my age and I accept it gratefully. But wow to always look eighteen. You must have some amazing stories to tell.
ReplyDeleteStormy
OMG I'm nowhere near 60! This is just a fictional piece! LOL
DeleteDelightful write!

DeleteWould you please tell me where you had this accident so that I can go have one of my own? :D

In the process of making a story come to life. I'll let you know eventually what kind of an accident it was.
DeleteWell most people turn the hands of time through a plastic surgeon but I find they age more rapidly.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely. And I see those that get their fair share of botox.
DeleteThis is an interesting concept for a storyline, you should keep it going! I like it!
